So, here's how the story goes. Monday, August 21 I was going to mow since now I am only mowing every couple of weeks due to the drought. I am driving the mower up to our metal building to see if the tires need air and I am almost there and I can't steer the thing in the right direction. After several tries, I get off and call Greg to tell him something is wrong with the mower. Right then I look down at one back tire and it is flat! Then I got around to the other side and the other tire is flat AND off the rim!! I didn't pay attention to see if the back tires needed air, only the front. So it sat there.
Greg got both flats fixed and the next day I mowed. I told him we just needed a new mower and he told me no, we don't need a new one just because of the flat tires. Nothing more was said.
On Wednesday, August 23 I got an email from Greg and the subject said "Your new mower". WHAT????
He found a deal on another Cub Cadet and it was cheaper going through this one company to have it shipped than it was at Tractor Supply, where we got the two previous mowers. It was supposed to be here on Friday, the 25th, but it was delayed.
Today, August 28 the mower arrived!! Not too much assembly required but knocking the boards off of the pallet it sat on took a little work (Greg did all the hard work). Finally got all done and drove off of the pallet. Got some things adjusted (may still need adjusting once I actually start mowing). This week I will mow!
FYI - we STILL have our first zero turn that we bought in 2006 and it works. The handles are a little wonky but I have gotten used to it.
Oh, my birthday isn't until October. And I have loved mowing and have been since I was about 10. I used to mow the yard when I was a kid. I think I may have been paid 50 cents to do it.
