Since we didn't have anything scheduled until the next day, we decided to take a boat tour of Lake Brienz. Interlaken literally means "between two lakes" - Lakes Brienz and Thun. Lake Brienz offers views of the villages on the mountain, boat houses and the water is naturally turquoise - amazing. Lake Thun has more castles and waterfalls (I wish we would have done that too).
The boat made several stops along the way, people could get off or some were boarding. It was a beautiful day and the lake was stunning!
Later in the afternoon after the boat tour, we were hungry and decided to find something to eat. We ended up at Hooters for beer and burgers. One thing to note - you didn't get french fries with your burger, you got a salad. Fries were extra (and not cheap!). We sat outside and enjoyed the weather.
When we were done, we walked back to the hotel and along the way I noticed this tucked away. It was beautiful!
