Twas three weeks
before Christmas and the house is a mess,
I am almost through
decorating and crafting, more or less,
I’m tweaking and
rearranging and fixing what has fallen down,
But that doesn’t
matter, it won’t make me frown!
The projects and
decorations have gotten glitter all over the floor
And knowing me, there
will probably be more,
Still waiting on
gifts to come from Academy and Amazon,
And once received, my
shopping will be done!
Then comes the
wrapping and tagging of each special present,
Which I find to be
quite pleasant,
The house needs a
dusting and vacuuming and cleaning,
So it can be
sparkling and gleaming
And then I can relax
and enjoy what I have done
And get ready for
family and lots of fun.
To celebrate the
birth of our Lord Jesus Christ
After all –
He is the reason for
the season!
