I love to repurpose stuff. Most of the time I can find ways to recreate something that was broken, rusty, cracked, stained, etc. A couple of months ago I decided to buy new juice/milk/water glasses as the ones we had (for about 20 years) had hard water stains on them and I tried several things to make them clear again, but nothing worked. So, I put them in my storage room and forgot about them.
Today, I was working on a Christmas project and, when I went back to my craft/Christmas storage room, I saw those and immediately knew what I could do with them. They were going to become a Christmas light project! I wanted the frosted look, so I "painted" them with Elmer's glue and let it dry. Then added spray adjesive and silver glitter for sparkle. Tried several things and finally decided on this pine cone, But it still was lacking something so I added the star on top.
I have three more glasses to repurpose and will probably do different themes. Plus, have some candle holders where the wax burned down and would't burn any longer so cleaned them up and will decorate them as well. Until the next project!
