Typically, I don't start getting the decorations out until after Thanksgiving, but I have the itch. I do however, refuse to decorate until AFTER Thanksgiving. That's just my thing. Thanksgiving should get the attention it deserves and then we can move on to the next holiday.
Anyway, I am planning what goes where, I never decorate the same from year to year, I like change. I had a plan for some transom windows in our living room, but had to move to plan B, which I think worked out better. I tried to take pictures, but they came out too dark. I will get picture though!
As far as everything else - I have no idea yet. It usually takes me 2-4 days to completely decorate the inside of the house and then I move to the outside. I don't decorate a lot outside, but still like to have something. We don't put lights on our house. Funny, when we built the house 16 years ago, I had the electrician put plugs on both ends of the front porch ceiling and I have never used them. No one can see our house from our road so my thought is why go to all that trouble. The inside I go all out and is where I put my energy.
So, deck the halls and Fa la la la la. Next week the decorating (and house cleaning) will begin.
